THE WEB DESIGNER AND THE WEB DEVELOPER

Generally speaking, the web designer focuses on the website’s appearance and the feelings you get when seeing it, as the web developer focuses on the technical part and the good functionality of the website.

Also, the developer that works on the client-side programming part will have an impact on how the website looks, on its layout and on the feeling you get when accessing it. And because of this, web designers and web developers will both have knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

MYTH: WEB DESIGNERS DON’T WRITE CODE…

On the contrary, web designers have the knowledge and write in HTML and CSS. Some of them even use preprocessors as Sass and LESS and also write JavaScript code.

For example, if the need/ want a smooth scrolling website, some designers (also known as Unicorns) will write their own code in order to get the results they want.

TWO JOBS, ONE TARGET

At the end of the day, both web designer and web developer work in the same purpose – to craft a website or an application to impress and attract as many users as possible

Good article. Most people choose to create a web as a way to express their ideas and develop their abilities. Creating a website requires time and effort, but after enough traffic enters the site, you will get the benefits. There are even among the Professional websiters who still use free services for their websites. pingwin.nl
